Positions: Project Scheduler

Responsibilities:

Candidate would be required to provide project scheduling and project control support on various complex projects for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The position requires exceptional organizational and multitasking skills and the ability to develop / define the requirements for a project through a quality program schedule.

Career Opportunities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules in compliance with the GAO Best practices.
  • Collect and process schedule updates; perform analyses; provide analysis and status reports to program stakeholders.
  • Lead program planning efforts supporting the client's requirements.
  • Participate in program management meetings/discussions relating to the project schedules.
  • Incorporate forecasting methods and conduct critical path analyses to efficiently manage the assigned projects.
  • Maintain/archive schedules on the program's KSN site.
  • Ensure that the scheduling Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures are completed and documented in accordance with the client's requirements.
  • Perform other schedule related activities as directed.

Skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Project and Primavera.
  • Thorough understanding of Project Scheduling and Earned Value Management (EVM) practices.
  • Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts that arise from balancing multiple priorities.
  • Experience within the Program Control environment as it relates to Program Management.
  • Experience with or understanding of project schedule analysis tools (@Risk, SteelRay) and EVM software (CORBA, MPM).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills.

Education And Experience

  • Position requires previous Project control and Scheduling experience. Experience with the Federal Government and the FAA in particular is desired.
  • A Bachelor's degree with 7 years' experience or a Master's degree with 3 years' experience.
  • PMP certification or related experience desired.
  • Experience within the Program Control environment as it relates to Program Management.
  • Experience with or understanding of project schedule analysis tools (@Risk, SteelRay) and EVM software (CORBA, MPM).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills.
